Description
This is a collection of THREE very rare private pressing Christmas 45 rpm singles made by DICK CLARK (he refers to them as 'musical Christmas cards' from himself, his wife Bobbie and their son Dickie) and sent out each December to his friends and colleagues in the music business. Each of these dates from a different year, most likely from the period 1959-1962. Each 7" record has its own unique picture sleeve. All the 'A' sides are novelty bits (one is like a Dickie Goodman-style break-in record using "The Untouchables" TV show as its influence, a second is a Bob Newhart-style phone interview in front of an audience . . . between Santa and his agent, and another has street interviews with Santa's wife, mother, etc.). All the 'B' sides are sappy Christmas recitations by Clark. The records themselves are all shiny black (actually one of them is on red vinyl) with a few very minor smudge marks and play mint minus, VG++ and VG respectively. All the picture sleeves have some minor folds or creases, and one has a 1/4" tear at the top. All total, this is a very unique addition for someone who collects Christmas records or Dick Clark memorabilia.
