Omaggio a DINO CIANO (Homage to DINO CIANI) – His last recordings in a concert hall. The gifted Croatian pianist, who was pupil of Alfred Cortot, died suddenly in a road accident in Rome in 1974 at the early age of 32. In this recording he plays Chopin 18 Nocturnes and other compositions (Op. 60-61-62-63-64-67-68). The recordings were made at the Conservatorio di Roma in 10-12-1971 and at the Piccolo Teatro di Milano in 16-12-1973. In his memory, it was created in 1975 the “Dino Ciani Piano Competition” to be held at Teatro alla Scala. Very rare Italian only Stereo 3 LP Box Set on Deutsche Grammophon 2721 082. Includes the original LP sized 10 page booklet written in Italian which contains many pictures of Dino Ciano taken during his short career.
