DINO CIANI PIANO LAST RECORDINGS CHOPIN RARE DGG 3LPs

Omaggio a DINO CIANO (Homage to DINO CIANI) – His last recordings in a concert hall. The gifted Croatian pianist, who was pupil of Alfred Cortot, died suddenly in a road accident in Rome in 1974 at the early age of 32.  In this recording he plays Chopin 18 Nocturnes and other compositions (Op. 60-61-62-63-64-67-68). The recordings were made at the Conservatorio di Roma in 10-12-1971 and at the Piccolo Teatro di Milano in 16-12-1973. In his memory, it was created in 1975 the “Dino Ciani Piano Competition” to be held at Teatro alla Scala. Very rare Italian only Stereo 3 LP Box Set on Deutsche Grammophon 2721 082. Includes the original LP sized 10 page booklet written in Italian which contains many pictures of Dino Ciano taken during his short career. The booklet is all in excellent condition except for some minor wear at the spine - Box Condition: Close to Near Mint (some surface wear on the back) / Record Condition:  The records are in pristine Near Mint condition, except for a couple of small very light surface marks.
