Description
Ronnie James Dio has gone down in rock and roll history as one of the greatest hard rock and heavy metal singers of all time. In 2010, Dio lost his battle with cancer, and passed away. (RIP Dio. You were one of the best, and a great humanitarian. You are truly missed!) He left behind an amazing legacy of several decades of great music! With Elf, Rainbow, Black Sabbath (a few times), and of course, his own namesake band, Dio. RJD was an incredible musician, and an important philanthropist. We feature Dio today, and his picture disc LP of 'Master of the Moon', originally released in 2004, it was the tenth and final studio album from the band. (This picture disc was released TEN years ago, in 2012.)
'Master of the Moon' has artwork that is breathtaking! This is actually one of the most intense picture discs that I've ever seen. It's rare, as it was issued by way of Niji Entertainment Group, which was founded by RJD before his death. The pic disc has never been reissued as a Record Store Day release. It's also a heavy, quality picture disc. At least 120 grams, (if not, 180 grams). The vinyl looks awesome, and is still all shiny and clean! There are only a few very light surface marks that I can see on the B side. Nothing too bad, and hardly noticable. The A side is looking nearly perfect!!
And I'll also kick in TWO special bonuses! You'll get two vintage rock magazines featuring Ronnie James Dio! First up is the Feb. 1986 'Hit Parader', with Dio on the cover. From metal's golden years, the mag also features Ratt, Ozzy, WASP, Dokken, Motley Crue, and more! A sweet 80s collectible! And the second bonus is the summer 2010 issue of 'Classic Rock' magazine! This great rock mag is published by our friends in the UK, and came out after Dio's death. It features several extensive articles detailing the life and times of RJD. Both mags feature Dio on their covers, and both look great! No pages torn out, no rips or tears, and no writing anywhere on them!
