"The Great Spectacular"

Incredible and incredibly rare - the ORIGINAL private press US 1st LP with guitar wizard Steve Morse, Rod Morgenstein, Allen Sloan, and Andy West.

I haven't held a copy of this in my hands since the 80's... This copy is nice with a very clean, brilliant sounding LP, but the cover has a few problems. The bottom 2" has a light brownish stain that suggests it was subjected to moisture, though it must not have been actually wet since the slick is still firmly attached to the cardboard. There are other smaller stains here & there on the front, and the cover is typically soiled simply from not being kept in a plastic sleeve. There are small initials in the upper right corner of the front cover. Seams are intact, cover is solid. 

The red label LP is a beauty. Has a couple of purely superficial spindle scuffs on side 2 otherwise looks and plays NEAR MINT, and yes it has all of the matrix etchings: 'Coming Soon Chinese Monkeys' and 'Churls Awake', 'JP' etc.

This is one of the most incredible independently produced albums ever recorded or released and signifies the beginning career of the one of the most dramatic and prolific progressive rock/jazz/fusion bands of all time, not to mention that amazing guitarist who is currently touring with DEEP PURPLE!

Overall a SOLID though VG appearing cover and a beautiful LP.
