Description

DJANGO 1934/DJANGO 1935  The Quintet of the Hot Club of France. GNP Crescendo Records 9031 & 9023. Two albums containing the earliest recordings of the great Django Reinhardt. Most have to be heard to be believed-- simply stunning jazz guitar playing with the great Hot Club rhythm section. Stephane Grappelly's violin is almost as good-- what a duo!  23 outstanding performances. Covers have age wear, records in great shape. These are original 1974 mono issues before the awful electronic stereo replaced them. Very hard to find set. See my other listings for more rarities!
