Doc Pomus' 100th birthday celebration - 30 unpublished songs written for/with Elvis Presley or recorded by Elvis - Transferred from the original acetates. Restored and remastered by award-winning engineer Michael Graves and Jordan McLeod - Published with the full collaboration of Doc Pomus Estate “A Teenager In Love”, “Save The Last Dance For Me”, “This Magic Moment”, “Can't Get Used To Losing You...”. There is not much in the history of rock that can match these songs. Doc Pomus wrote one hit after another with a number of collaborators, including Mort Shuman. Together they created a model for the sound of the late 50s and early 60s. They wrote timeless classics that were covered by artists from all over the world, one of whom was the King: Elvis Presley. Pomus/Shuman were the names on the sheet music of many notable Elvis recordings. "Viva Las Vegas", '(Marie's The Name) His Latest Flame', 'Turn Me Loose' - all classics. So, where do all these songs start? Come on demos. Carefully transferred, restored and mastered from the original acetates with the full approval and collaboration of the Pomus property, Viva Doc Pomus: Songs For Elvis (The Demos) explores the recordings submitted to Presley for engraving.
