DESCRIPTION
Dodo Marmarosa - “Dodo’s Back” Argo Records LPS 4012 (Stereo) from 1961. Super Hard to Find Original Deep Groove First Pressing album from Pianist Michael “Dodo” Marmarosa in a Trio setting with Richard Evans and Marshall Thompson. Marmarosa has worked with the likes of Gene Krupa, Charlie Barnet, Artie Shaw, Slim Gaillard, Charlie Parker, Lester Young, Lucky Thompson and many more. On the Deep Groove Blue with Silver Print Argo labels and in the Original Sleeve.
CONDITION
The Sleeve is in good shape. There is some basic shelf wear, dirtiness on the white cover and corner softening. There is a tiny drill hole through the center of the cover and the labels. There is an old price tag on the back, should be easy to remove. There is a 1/4” tear on the opening edge on back. There is some wear on the bottom seam including about a 3/4” start of a part split at the opening edge. Still solid with no splits, writing, stains, etc. and would rate as VG. The Vinyl itself is in clean Glossy condition looking pretty lightly played. There are some light scuffs and hairlines but plays perfectly Near Mint all through with the exception of 3-4 spots of soft tics. Maybe only VG visually but plays WAY better with these slight exceptions and might be further improved by a better cleaning than I can give with my Discwasher brush. Beyond the mentioned drill hole, the labels are otherwise Near Mint.

TERMS AND DEFINITIONS
Very Good Plus (VG+): Record surfaces may show some slight signs of wear and may have slight scuffs or very light scratches that don't affect one's listening experience. Slight warps that do not affect the sound are OK.
Very Good (VG): Surface noise will be evident upon playing,... Groove wear will start to be noticeable, as will light scratches (deep enough to feel with a fingernail) that will affect the sound.
I stand by my grades but would like us to be on the same page so no problems arise. I have been selling Vintage Vinyl for over twenty years on the net and I can count the returns I've had on one hand so I believe my grading is fair and accurate. One important note, I try to grade to these Goldmine guides as best as I can understand and apply them. This gives us both a written standard to go by rather than having to guess. But.... it also means that I don't issue refunds over differences of opinion in grading i.e. "That's not MY idea of a VG record!" - I don't know what your standards are and, as such, can't grade to them. I guarantee that items I sell will meet my description, nothing more or less! If you are not satisfied that a purchase meets my description, I will do what I can to make it right if you give me the chance and work with me! Please feel free to check my feedback.
