Description
Hello and welcome. Beginning in the 1960s, I made it my goal to collect interesting records of all sizes and speeds. Among these are vintage "78s" of many genres. While they are definitely NOT of the computer world, they are the medium used for recorded music longer than any other ever was or will be, and they do represent an undying search for the unique and wonderful in the world of sound. I'm happy to be able to offer them to you now. Here is what you're bidding on:
TITLE & ARTIST: "Sixty Minute Man/I Can't Escape from You" - by The Dominoes on the Federal Record green/gold label (12022), in beautiful original monophonic sound, issued in 1951.
CONDITION: LABELS - EX(Shows light hole wear and light scratching Side A); RECORD - Excellent(Federal 78 rpm record glows with vitality, with only light rub/age markings and a couple of light scuffs Side A - visually graded under special daylight balanced spotlight). IMPORTANT NOTICE: The photo included is the actual item offered; please examine it carefully. We have cleaned our 78s using ONLY soft cotton fabric and distilled water. While this does not remove fingerprints effectively, it cleans without damage to the shellac.
SPECIAL FEATURES: The record is in fine condition. The subject is the great and legendary Dominoes, with the hit song that would go on to live forever in the hearts of "beach music/shag" fans everywhere: "Sixty Minute Man". If you appreciate the world of early vintage rhythm and blues 78 rpm records from seven decades ago, then you will appreciate this historic record.
TRACKS: "Sixty Minute Man/I Can't Escape from You"
THANKS! If you have further questions about condition or content, please don't hesitate to ask. You may bid with unworried confidence. Our sales history is your assurance of absolute integrity. Thank you and good luck.
OUR GRADING SYSTEM: We grade visually, and we are happy to listen to any 78 and give you an aural grade as well. SS (Still Sealed as from the factory); NM (Near Mint - our highest grade; the record has only a very few light marks that do not affect play); EX(Excellent - a few more light marks than Near Mint; still a great record that plays near perfectly); VG+ (Very Good Plus - an enjoyable, played and loved, obviously used but still listenable record, usually with some light pops, but free of major audible distraction); VG (Very Good) and below - we usually do NOT sell these, but if we have some good reason to offer such a record, we will explain completely).
