Here you have it, the copy of "Dusk fire" you have been waiting for! Amazingly clean glorious MONO copy of this gem. I am truly happy to offer this copy, infact it´s THE most expensive and legendary LP I have ever auctioned and in this condition!

On this record the players are DON RENDELL on on tenor and soprano sax, flute & clarinet IAN CARR on trumpet and flugel horn MICHAEL GARRICK on piano TREVOR TOMPKINS on drums and DAVE GREEN on bass - what a line up! This record is most famous for the tracks "Dusk Fire" and "Tan Samfu" but the whole LP is brilliant and I tell you there are really a few records I enjoy listening from start to end and this is one of them! Many things can be told and many other do it better than me so I will go directly to the important things, the condition:

Sleeve: A wonderful sleeve with very little imperfections - I will grade this EX. As you can see from the pictures the sleeve is in wonderful shape

Record: As close as MINT you can get with full black shine and no marks, no warp, no scuffs, no wear on label just a few of faint hairlines that I spotted when I looked with my UV light so I will grade this M- and I think there is very few opportunities to find a better copy than this. Note that I grade strict!

Note that this is lo-fidelity recordings, which do not do this wonderful LP justice. Note that there is slight crackle at places from dust- I think this will disappear with a good clean - it is not from any wear to the vinyl.

GRADES:

Grades are sleeve/record. Only one grade means there is no picture sleeve. If there is a picture sleeve missing to this issue I will note it in the description.

My scale of grades goes from M / M- / EX / VG++ / VG+ / VG  to VG-

I may or may not add any details to the description if needed. Do always check the picture before bidding. If you are uncertain o how a particular record play or looks, please email me and I try to email you with a detailed description! Sometimes a record looks like a VG but play like a EX then i usually grade it VG+ and if the visual and the playback differ much I will try to describe that.

Note that  all soundfiles are from the records I am selling - allthough in a low bitrate MP3 format so they will sound better in real life. Records playgraded and recorded on a Technics 1200 with ortofon needle - I can´t tell how it plays on any other record player.

answer to some questions i have gotten:  there are no long hairlines just shorter really faint ones  - most likely from removing the record from the sleeve rather than marks from wear - on closer inspection I must say the grade of the LP is rather EX than M-

 .....not that my EX is still better than many sellers M or M- or NM but there are some (under UV light) faint hairlines
