Donald Byrd Fuego Blue Note Records LP BLP 4026

With Jackie McLean, Duke Pearson, Doug Watkins and Lex Humphries. Sleeve has glossy front and matte back. Corners are rubbed and worn and just beginning to split. A few light edge creases in spine. Small tear in center of opening edges. Light to moderate shelf and ring wear on flats, more noticeable on back than on front. Inner sleeve and a new clear polybag included for added protection. Vinyl is only in GOOD or possibly GOOD PLUS condition - which is to say it has many visible scuffs and scratches - only a few of which can be felt with a fingertip. The LP played through without skipping, but I have to wonder if this will hold true for all turntables. It plays with various levels of surface noise (pops/tics/crackle). At times this noise is quite noticeable and at other times it is fairly soft and tolerable. Overall, this flawed gem is a decent space holder until a better specimen comes along. Oh, and it has the RVG stamp in the dead wax.
