Description

Check out my other items! This is a SCARCE Transition Records LP. It is Byrd-Jazz. It is LP #TRLP 5. See the pic below. Included is the original 7 page booklet that describes the jazz scene in America at the time, 1955. It tells of Transition Records recording live in jazz clubs to get the feel just right. This is The Donald Byrd Sextet presented in concert, Tuesday Night, August 23, 1955 by The New Music Society at The World Stage, Detroit, Michigan. Personnel: Donald Byrd trumpet, Bernard McKinney euphonium, Yusef Lateef tenor saxophone, Barry Harris piano & arranger, Alvin Jackson bass, Frank Gans drums, Willie Bowen emcee. Side A; Parisian Thoroughfare, Yusef, Shawnuff & Side B; Blues, Torsion Level, Woody'n You, Dancing In The Dark. Now for the details; the record is VG with some scratches on both sides that are audible at times. The label on side B has fallen off (the glue dried out) but it is included. The jacket has wear from usage/aging/handling with a 7" seam split on the bottom. But, this is scarce & how often does it include the booklet? Buyer pays the S&H. The &H choices for the USA only are $3 media or priority rate based on zip code. International rates vary by country. I DO NOT ACCEPT PAYPAL. I accept cash, checks or money orders only. ALL items are held 7 to 10 BUSINESS days for a check to clear. Please see my auctions & the items in my ebay store-JOHNQUARTZ COLLECTIBLES. Thank you....
