DONALD BYRD "I'M TRYIN' TO GET HOME" LP - On BLUE NOTE Records, #84188.  Original stereo pressing with the classic Blue & White labels and the NEW YORK USA address on both labels.  "EAR" etched and VAN GELDER stamped in the trail-off on both sides.  Thick vinyl, thick cardboard cover.  The personnel:  Donald Byrd/trumpet & fluegelhorn; Stanley Turrentine/tenor sax; Herbie Hancock/piano; Freddie Roach/organ; Grant Green/guitar; Bob Cranshaw/bass; Grady Tate/drums; Ernie Royal, Snooky Young, Jimmy Owens, Clark Terry, Joseph Ferrante/trumpets; Jay Jay Johnson, Jimmy Cleveland, Henry Coker, Benny Powell/trombones; Jim Buffington, Bob Northern/French horns; Don Butterfield/tuba.  The vinyl is in EX++ to M- condition (beautiful sheen).  The thick cardboard cover is in excellent shape:  bright & clean, displays wonderfully.  NO seam splits, NO cut-out marks, NO writing, and the front cover graphics are particularly striking.  Address on back cover is 43 West 61st St., New York 23.  The songs are:  Brother Isaac; Noah; I'm Tryin' To Get Home; I've Longed And Searched For My Mother; March Children; Pearly Gates.
