Description
This is an original stereo copy of Donovan's beautiful 1968 navy-blue double LP box set which separates into 2 halves. It has all 12 inserts in the original orange folder. Like all of this original pressing the box was printed with a mono catalogue number, however the stereo copies have a small floral sticker in the top left-hand corner of the front of the box, which is present and intact on this copy.
I have owned this box set for more than 40 years but bought it second-hand a couple of years after its release.
Both vinyl albums play well although there are a few fine marks on the vinyl. The grading would be between very good and near excellent. The blue Pye labels are in excellent condition.
The outer box is a bit grubby and has signs of ageing but all the seams are intact and there is no material damage. Both the photograph on the front cover and the photo of Donovan with the Maharishi on the rear cover are in completely intact condition. Overall I would describe the outer box as very good minus.
The yellow track listing and song lyrics on the inner side of the front box is in very good condition and you will notice that it has the mono catalogue number which is superceded by the sticker on the front cover.
The track listing on the inner cover of the rear part of the box is in near excellent condition.
The orange folder containing the 12 lyric inserts for record 2 is in very good minus condition owing to a few age spots, however the inserts are in excellent condition.
The record will be sent in a new record mailer with cardboard stiffener and posted by Royal Mail Second Class.
