THE DOORS: Strange Days (Elektra EKL-4014, mono)

• Condition : Cover is VG++, very slight ringwear, dayglow orange promo sticker upper left front, Avery filing sticker upper right front. Vinyl is VG+ to VG++ visually, has a few noticeable but very light scuffs, mostly plays EX to NM with an occasional faint tick here and there. There is about 1/2 of the same type of Avery filing sticker stuck on side one's label, but nothing is written or typed on that sticker- I think it's there to indicate side one! The lyric innersleeve is long gone, sorry to say (I have supplied a new polylined innersleeve).
• Description : Rare 1967 original mono promo of their classic second LP. No WLP's were issued on this title so this has the standard gold label design. Not for mint freaks but this is the nicest mono orig I've had in ages, and the sound quality of the mono mix is really quite exceptional- this was released in October 1967 when the sound quality of most US rock LPs was frankly dismal, and Elektra were certainly at the head of the pack as far as engineering. The music should require no introduction nearly 42 years later...

• Records are shipped in a cardboard record mailer with sufficient padding, and the disc is removed from the jacket to prevent seamsplits.
