Description
DOROTHY MORRISON, Brand New Day, original 1st issue 1971 UK Elektra LP.
K42094, original 1971 UK Elekra ‘Butterfly’ record labels.
A UK album in original condition, featuring:
1. original Dorothy Morrison, debut and only LP release,
2. original 1971 UK Electra ‘Butterfly’ record labels,
3. original earliest engraved record matrix of, ‘A1 / B 1’,
4. on the rear of the sleeve the writers credits are missing on side one, track two and on side two, track four,
5. comes with its original period, plain white, ‘Patent Nos. 1,125,555’ inner sleeve.
CONDITION:
THE OUTER COVER: is in excellent condition, the spine is in very good++ condition and most of the text on the spine is readable. The two opening edges of the sleeve have remained clean and sharp. Theres NO pen writing, tears, splits, stickers of sticker residue on the sleeve.
THE INNER SLEEVE: is in very good++ condition and is the original UK, ‘Patent No 1,125,555’, inner sleeve. Theres NO tears, pen writing, stickers or sticker residue on the inner sleeve. There is a split to each of the side, to the centre edges and some age related toneing / foxing around the edges of the inner sleeve.
THE RECORD: side one is in excellent condition, side two has a single light non audible ‘scuff’ line that runs across tracks three and four, so I will grade tracks three and four as in very good+ condition, otherwise the rest of side two is in excellent condition. The record is made of the period 1970s quality 'thick heavy' vinyl. The condition of each of the playing surfaces have remained very dark and glossy.
The records ‘matrix’: side one is, K 42094 A1, ‘machine engraved’, also the numbers / letters of, ‘B’ and ‘2’, are ‘machine engraved’ onto the ‘run off’ groove. Side two is, K 42094 B1, ‘machine engraved’, also the numbers / letters of, ‘A’ and ‘3’, I think it is are ‘machine engraved’ onto the ‘run off’ groove.
THE AUDIO: each side of the record plays excellent. The record lays flat on the turntable and plays with an excellent full, loud powerful ‘stereo’ sound.
THE RECORD LABELS: each of the record labels are in near MINT condition. Each of the record labels are free from any pen writing, stickers or sticker residue.
MY GRADING OF THE RECORD AND SLEEVES IS BASED UPON THE OFFICIAL GRADING SYSTEM FROM THE ‘RECORD COLLECTOR’ MAGAZINE.

Postage and packing.
All records posted to a UK address will be sent 1st class and to be signed for on delivery.
Packing - all records are posted with multi layered card stiffeners for protection. Before posting, the record is removed from the records original inner and outer sleeves, the record is then put into a second inner sleeve to minimise any damage that may occur while in transit.
The record / sleeves are then put into a plastic sleeve for further protection.
Discount will be given on postage for multiple purchases.
In the UK – there maybe an additional cost for insurance as the seller has no protection if the item goes missing in the post, therefore post and packing charges may vary.
I will send records anywhere overseas.

In non EU country’s an ‘import tax’ and a couriers ‘clearance fee’ may need to be paid, this is down to the buyer to pay these fees.
