Description

This is a 1976 rare on a 7" single, US import vinyl record by Double Exposure on the Salsoul record label. The single features the songs "Everyman (Has to Carry His Own Weight)" and "Gonna Give My Love Away." The flip is a soulful ballad with its full orchestra accompaniment.  It is a 7" black record with a cardboard sleeve, produced by Ron Baker, Norman Harris, and Earl Young. The music style is 1970s Northern Soul/Modern, conducted by Norman Harris and Bruce Hawes, with a run time of 2:50 for Side A and 3:20 for Side B.

Double Exposure a 4 piece vocal group with Leonard " Butch" Davis, Jimmy Williams, Joe Harris, and Charles Whittington signed to Joe, Stan, and Ken Cayre New York based Salsoul label that had the superb Salsoul Orchesttra made up from members of M.F.S.B. of Philadelphia fame and some from The Brothers " EVERYMAN" was taken from SAL - 5503 " TEN PER CENT" album this one track alone has over the decades has elements of the music and lyrics sampled some 37 times as recently as 2023 by FRASER " Chicago ` 93" 

The production on this one track is truly amazing with so many clever key changes in its presentation this single at less than 3 minutes was perfect dance floor fodder, later to be extended by Tom Moulton remixes to over seven minutes long. I recall this blasting from the speakers at  The Ritz All-Dayer in Manchester.
