DESCRIPTION
Doug Lucas - “Niara” Shadybrook Records SB 33-004 (Stereo) from 1976. RARE Original U.S. First Promo Pressing Jazz / Funk / Fusion album from Trumpeter Doug Lucas with Franck Wuyts, Yvan De Souter and Druno Castellucci who also Produced. On the Dark Blue with Silver Print Shadybrook Promo labels and in the Original Cover with no Promo markings or Barcode. This is a First Pressing as indicated by the Matrix / Runout Vinyl markings which read:

CONDITION
The Sleeve is a bit of a mess. Would have been a solid VG with some fairly slight shelf wear, corner softening, a promo punch hole and what look to be some water droplets that have raised the texture slightly. No splits, tears, writing, etc. but… The bottom left corner was chewed by, assumedly, a dog and it is how you see it. Not really sure what the proper grade would be as it is still solid but I am calling it a G, use your own judgement. The Vinyl is in clean Glossy condition looking barely played. If you look closely you can spot a few light scuffs and hairlines - no actual scratches i.e. something felt with a fingernail. There are two tooth marks on the very outer edge of the vinyl outside the drop area. Still EX visually and plays pretty much perfectly Near Mint. The labels show a few light spindle trails but are otherwise Near Mint.

TERMS AND DEFINITIONS
Very Good Plus (VG+): Record surfaces may show some slight signs of wear and may have slight scuffs or very light scratches that don't affect one's listening experience. Slight warps that do not affect the sound are OK.
Very Good (VG): Surface noise will be evident upon playing,... Groove wear will start to be noticeable, as will light scratches (deep enough to feel with a fingernail) that will affect the sound.
I stand by my grades but would like us to be on the same page so no problems arise. I have been selling Vintage Vinyl for over twenty years on the net and I can count the returns I've had on one hand so I believe my grading is fair and accurate. One important note, I try to grade to these Goldmine guides as best as I can understand and apply them. This gives us both a written standard to go by rather than having to guess. But.... it also means that I don't issue refunds over differences of opinion in grading i.e. "That's not MY idea of a VG record!" - I don't know what your standards are and, as such, can't grade to them. I guarantee that items I sell will meet my description, nothing more or less! If you are not satisfied that a purchase meets my description, I will do what I can to make it right if you give me the chance and work with me! Please feel free to check my feedback.
