Description
Very Rare and said to be one of the rarest within the Island back catalogue.
Original Release from 1969 and said to be the very last Island album pressed on this label format.

Side 1 - Strangely Strange but Oddly Normal; Dr. Dim & Dr. Strange; Roy Rogers; Dark-Haired Lady; On the Wet Cork Hack.
Side 2 - A Tale of two Orphanages; Strings in the Earth and Air; Ship of Fools; Frostly Mornings; Donnybrook Fair.
Label: Island – Original full pink format with the orange and black ‘eyeball’ logo. These have a have a matt smooth finish and it is a very first pressing.
Label Condition: Excellent labels with minimal play evidence. There is a small pale area on Side 2 about the size of a 2 euro coin. See photo.
Cover Condition: Overall Very Good + (please see pics) There is some creasing and rubbing but luckily seems to have avoided the usual ring wear seen on this type of matt cover construction of this era. Printed and Made in England by Ernest J Day.
Cover Front: A small dink on the top edge and quite fine and light rim rubbing near the top and bottom. Clean and still fresh looking, the thin card has creasing which takes it down a notch from excellent but overall VG+ and it retains its deep colour.
Cover Back: Superb artwork that is again clean with lovely colour. Some rubbing near the bottom, but somehow, this has escaped ring wear and any creasing fine and faint.
Top Edge: One smallish dink that can be seen, any rubbing however minimal and light.
Bottom Edge: Fairly light consistent surface rubbing.
Right Edge(s), and Type: Clean, sharp with very little wear.
Spine and Text: Solid and straight. Most of text visable. See pictures.
Corners: All four show light to moderate rubbing with fine to very fine shape retained.
Cat Number - ILPS 9106.
Weight of Record - 136 grams. Less than usual on this label format, the earlier titles were not Polydor pressed and this a typical label for this late and last ‘Eyeball’ Island record.
Matrix Nos - ILPS 9106 A//1 1 1 1 and ILPS 9106 B//1 1 1 1 - the rarest first issue with nothing but ‘1’ stampers, these even hard to find - Making this pressing even rarer.Vinyl Condition/Visual Grading: Excellent but for a scuff that covers 3 tracks, this is pictured. Very shiny, jet black and Pressed by Polydor.
Sound Quality and Audio Grading: Beautifully pressed by Polydor and a class above many of the early Island albums for top quality quiet sound. The Scuff (pictured) does not affect sound at all. There is few pops at the beginning of track 1 but nothing serious at all.
Packaging
Sent in Strong cardboard box which will have padding around the record so that it is 'cocconed' within box. Record and Vinyl separated.
If you are not happy for any reason with the record I am happy to receive it back in the same packaging. I will even pay the return postage registered. I will not partially refund.
