DUKE ELLINGTON. Ellington '55. LP Capitol LCT 6008 UK 1954 . Ex+/Ex+
Beautiful UK 1954 issue big band from Duke Ellington and featuring Harry Carney, Jimmy Hamilton, Russell Procope, Paul Gonsalves, Rick Henderson, Ray Nance, Willie Cat Anderson, Clark terry, Willie Cook, Jan Tizol, Quentin Jackson, Britt Woodman, Wendell Marshall, Billy Strayhorn & Butch Ballard. Cover still crisp and beautiful apart from tape on the cover edges. This has been applied to protect the cover rather than fix splits and has been completed very expertly so the cover still look magnificent. Record still in strong excellent shape. There are some faint needle marking and the lightest most superficial surface scratches. Still beautiful and shows no traces of over use.
