You are bidding for a CLASSIC US 60'S ROCK 'N' ROLL/ DOOWOP LP record by THE DUKE OF EARL called THE DUKE OF EARL issued in the US on the VEE JAY record label in 1961, cat number VJLP 1040(SILVER AND BLACK LABEL). Side 1;DUKE OF EARL, STAND BY ME, FESTIVAL OF LOVE, DADDY'S HOME, I WAKE UP CRYING, TURN ON YOUR LOVELIGHT. Side 2; NITE OWL, I'LL FOLLOW YOU, BIG LIE, KISSIN' IN THE KITCHEN, SO MANY WAYS, LONELY ISLAND. The record is in excellent condition with excellent labels. The record has little wear with no slight scuffs and no slight surface scratches and plays with no jumps and clicks and a minimum of surface noise. The original picture sleeve is excellent with no edge fraying, no creasing or marks.. CLASSIC 1ST PRESSING DOOWOP ALBUM from THE DUKE OF EARL featuring their big hit DUKE OF EARL and a collection of sublime ROCKING SOULFUL DOOWOP tracks from THE DUKE also known as GENE CHANDLER who had a number of R&B/ DISCO hits later. This is a supurb R&B/ DOOWOP album, every track is an ace . RARE in good condition, from my own collection.
