First MONO Reissue - 1966 Liberty pressing of 1960 album

Matrix Side A BNLP-4022 A-1 VAN GELDER (stamped)

Matrix Side B BNLP-4022 B RVG (etched)

- "VAN GELDER" stamp + "-1" suffix in deadwax indicates Remaster (Side A).
- "RVG" stamp in deadwax, original master (Side B).
- The runouts are hand etched aside from the VAN GELDER and RVG stamps.
- Very light 114 etch between RVG and runout matrix on B-side indicating a pressing by All Disc Records, Inc.
- No Plastylite "P"/"ear" mark in either runout.

- No deep groove
- Both labels show "Blue Note Records Inc. • 47 West 63rd • NYC". (R) under the E of NOTE at bottom of labels.
- The front cover is laminated, and the back cover shows address on bottom part "43 West 61st St., New York 23"
- First catalog number on cover, second on labels
- Issued with 27 Years Blue Note inner sleeve

I found this album sealed in an antique store about five years ago. Since then, it has been unsealed and played just a few times on a Rega P5. As you would expect, this LP looks and plays like new. Both surfaces are flawless and unmarked. Vinyl playback is super clean with just a few random dust ticks that you get from any vinyl LP - even new ones. This record has never been wet cleaned so I expect with a cleaning and a mono cartridge playback would be essentially perfect - as good as any modern day Tone Poet or Acoustic Sounds reissue.
Spindle holes show no wear. Spine is also perfect.
The inner sleeve has no splits or creases. The cover is also almost perfect with great shine. No ring wear. No splits or smashed corners. No stains, rips or tears. The only minor issue is a corner crease bottom left (see picture).
A once in a lifetime opportunity to purchase this album in collectible, archive condition. It's hard enough to find this LP at the best of times, and incredibly rare to find it in NM/NM- condition.
