Description
This is a bizarre mispressing rarity of a 12” and LP from two different artists – a must for those who collect rare mispressings and for collectors of Duran Duran and/or OMD (Orchestral Manoeuvres in the Dark.)
It would seem quite unique – at least since buying this over 20 years ago I have been unable to find any other examples or any citations of it elsewhere.
It is the UK 1988 12” REMIX of All She Wants Is (The US Master Mix) [12 DDX 11] in picture sleeve – but the B Side is a cross-pressing / mispressing with another EMI release from 1988 – OMD’s The Best Of LP [OMD 1] – the 6 tracks from the B side of that LP. This presents something very bizarre - the A side being a 45 rpm pressing 12” and the other side a 33.3 rpm LP…
This photograph shows the picture sleeve and the B side with the DD record label but the 7 OMD tracks on show on the actual vinyl.

The record paper label is correct for the Duran Duran release – with cat no 12 DDX 11
The pressing number on the actual vinyl = 12 DDX 11 A-2U-1-1
B Side
The record paper label for the B side is from the Duran Duran release [12 DDX 11] and gives the information for All She Wants Is (45 Mix) 4:36 and I Believe / All I Need To Know (Medley) 5:04.
However – the vinyl is actually the B side of the Best of OMD LP with the following 7 tracks - Tesla Girls - Locomotion - So In Love - Secret - If You Leave - Forever Live And Die – Dreaming
The pressing number on the actual vinyl = OMD 1 B-5U-1-2
Condition:
Picture sleeve - Very good+ (it would be Excellent but there is a slight tear at top edge)
Vinyl – A side Very Good - B side Good (some clear signs of play and a mark across the face)
