Description

Greetings and welcome to another of my ebay listings.  Welcome one and all!  Bidders, lookers, meanderers (no, not a real word, but it needs to be), all are greeted here with a smile on my hideous mug, and my open orangutang-like arms!

Think i'll ever post my pic here?  Nah.  Small children might see.  No traumas please.

Okay, this ought to be fun.  Last night I post 3 items.  2 still don't have a view.  No biggie,  can't force attention.  But the first one...already 69 hits?  New record for me!  Thank you to anyone who has braved my prior listings!   psst..seek help soon!

Well well, what do I have for you this time?  Oh yeah, it's my copy of one of the better of the Boston HardCore sound from the early 80's, Department of Youth Services, or, better known as DYS.  Plus, it fits the listing heading.  The title of this chunk'0'speedycore is "Brotherhood".  Yep, if you know the history, you know these guys were on par with SSDecontrol, and the others from that time/scene.  Pretty honkin' good stuff!  These guys ripped, they roared, and they were dang good!  Dunno if they ever got as big out west though.  The Boston HC to me is kinda reminiscent of the old DC HC of the same time.  Same loudness, same energy, same angst.

This LP has been played and enjoyed.  I kinda hate to part with it, but there for the bills goeth I.  The LP is on XClaim Records, #4.  The record itself does have some surface marks. It plays like an E+, but it looks E-.  So, I give it, an E-.  Wat?  You thought I was gonna go to the middle grade between them?  Nope.  Gotta go with the weakest link. Therefore, it gets MY E-.  That's MY grade (see below), not freaking G*ldmine.  The cover has some wear, a few dings.  The back top cover towards the opening-well, the glue holding it to the top seam is one foot in the grave.  It's starting to separate, but hasn't made a big run for it yet. Cover gets an E-.

Okay, so a lot of you are familiar with SSD, maybe Gang Green, if you're lucky, maybe the  F.U.'s or Jerrys Kids.  But if you don't have this, your B-HC is incomplete.

In case anyone's wondering, here is my scale for grading.  M - Mint.  Reserved for still factory sealed.  N- Near Mint, opened, no marks whatsoever.  E+, no marks other than a smudge that i'm too lazy to clean.  E, a light mark or 2, probably won't affect play. (why "probably"?  Because everyone claims their hearing is better than the next persons'.) E-, marks or wear that will cause a little audible affectation.  V+, wear that will cause some distortion of some type.  V, V-, P, well, you get the picture.

And since it is not in top conditon, though far from being a total piece of feculence, I will continue my practice of starting the bidding low.  Not to hose any other sellers of this, their copies are listed as better condition, so, hey, don't mind me!

IMPORTANT NOTE FOR NON-U.S. BIDDERS!!!!
All items I sell will be sent with a copy of the sale form, printed up from eBay.  I will not "mark item as a gift", just so you can evade import rules.  The people at my post office know me, and they will check overseas packages for inspection.  If you cannot comply with that, please do not bid.

Also, international bidders, the price listed for postage on my listings are for domestic mailing.  I wish I could send overseas for that price, but reality speaks different.  I place a fair price on all international postage.  Watch for the invoice if you win.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
All items that are sent to a U.S. address will have delivery confirmation (at my cost) attached, as I have found that it helps...a lot!....to ensure that packages are truly en route to the customer.  This is for both of our sakes.  I will be using USPS "Media Mail" as my primary shipping method, however, if needed, and for an extra charge, I can ship with "Priority Mail", and if i can get away with it for the price, I really like 1st Class, but that's weight-dependent.

Oh yes, if you are the winning bidder, and you are in the Commonwealth of Virginia, I'm afraid you are going to have to fork over the 5% Virginia State Sales Tax.

Paypal is my preferred method of payment, if you need another way, please contact me before bidding.  Or, if you have any other questions about this listing, or any of my listings, please feel free to contact me.  I will answer any & all questions as quickly and concisely as possible.

Okay, time to see which this direction this will go.  0?  >69?  As many licks as it takes to get to the center of a Tootsie Pop?  I guess we will see in about 168 hours.

do the math.
