Daft Punk - Discovery 2LP
(Virgin / Toshiba EMI - TOJP-60114•15)
Original 2001 Japan only double LP vinyl edition with artwork from Matsumoto Leiji, in the style of the movie 'Interstella 5555'. This is not a new reissue.
Sadly there is no obi strip but both inserts are included, one of which has the Daft Club card still attached. Contains special message to Japanese fans.
I bought this 2nd hand in Osaka about 15 years ago and have only played it myself twice. Mainly to check the quality. There are no skips or jumps but there is some surface noise throughout, which gets lighter as the album goes on (perhaps the original owner preferred listening to side 1 the most). It is only noticeable between tracks or on the very quiet passages.
Visually both sides of both discs look excellent. There is some shelf wear around the edges of the sleeve but no tears or significant creases. Please see pictures.
I am conservatively grading this as VG/VG but I have seen worse condition copies graded higher. It has been cleaned on a Project VC-E professional record cleaner.
