Description
Super rare original private Tunisian Funk on private label cat no DA-01. Recognised enough to be reissued
on Habibi Funk this is a great single. The record itself has noticeable light marks when viewed under a strong lamp but plays beautifully through both sides with only minor crackle here and there which does not distract the listener. Front sleeve has creasing to corners and glue residue from sticker removal. Rear sleeve shows some grubbiness and ringwear. In my opinion this is VG/VG+ (sleeve/record)
Tunisian band Dalton, a quintet who formed around 1968 when most of the members studied together at the University of Tunis. Active on the local scene, they played music that was heavily influenced by American soul and funk, mixed with regional musical traditions. In the early ’70s, the band got a regular gig at a beach hotel called Sahara Beach Resort on the coastline of Tunisia. With the money they earned, they traveled to Rome and cut their sole 7-inch, “Alech” b/w “Soul Brother.”

In fairness to all bidders I do not end my listings early
I am very aware that there are many different possible interpretations of Record Collector Gradings so in addition to trying to give my best opinion of the grade I will try to give as much information as I can regarding the sleeve and record to help you make an informed decision as to whether or not to bid.
All my records are play graded on a Rega RP2 turntable as well as being visually checked.
