Triumph Through Spears of Sacrilege is the 2007 debut demo from the Lebanese war metal band Damaar (دمار, meaning "destruction" in Arabic). It is widely considered one of the most extreme, aggressive, and hateful releases in the history of black and death metal, largely due to its raw sound and the dangerous context of its creation in Lebanon. The demo is a visceral 19-minute assault characterized by "hypersonic" speed and a sound that many reviewers describe as "pure, unhinged evil" Damaar was active in Beirut from 2004 to 2006. The band took significant personal risks by recording such violently anti-religious music in Lebanon, where it could lead to severe legal or social consequences. After the demo's release, the band members disappeared, leading to various unverified rumors about their fate, which has added to the release's legendary status in the underground metal scene.
