Description
Hi There,
Up for auction, is a limited press record entitled: "use money cheat death".
Here is a description:
"Damien Hirst, art wunderkind, created a portrait of Kate Moss (who I assume needs no introduction) for the Spring 2009 issue of TAR magazine. In what I can only construe as a further means of raking in cash from the portrait, he's issued a limited edition 12 inch, one-sided, white vinyl single with the portrait on the cover. 666 copies have been pressed. The record contains no music. Instead we're treated to about 30 seconds of Kate Moss talking in what may be a telephone conversation followed by a steady beeping until the end where Damien Hirst extols the fact that it's okay for artists to earn money nowadays. They apparantly don't need to live in poverty (though, as we all know, it's extremely difficult for the majority to live from their art.)"
Included in the auction is:
The record The picture cover (Kate Moss)
The record has NEVER been played. In fact the record has only been removed from the mailer it was sent in TWICE. Once to grade the record, and once to take a photograph. I have avoided touching the cover at all. It is no. 406/666 of this extremely rare pressing. The cover is sharp and clean. NO LIGHT DISCOLOURATION AT ALL because it has been kept in its original mailer. As close to perfect as you can hope to imagine.
Record: Mint Cover: Mint
The record will be sent in a double stiffened mailer, followed by a layer of bubble wrap and a further layer of cardboard on top of that. First class "signed for" mailing included in the postage price. The winning bidder is more than welcome to make further arrangements on postage type if they so wish.
*EDIT* I am willing to post this item to the UK, USA, FRANCE, IRELAND, GERMANY, BELGIUM, SWITZERLAND, NORWAY & SWEDEN. Email me for a postage quote to any of the above countries. Postage prices shown on this page are for the UK. International postage rates are likely to differ. *EDIT*
