Description

Grading is done conservatively, visually. Check unaltered sound clips. I currently have a number of cool popcorn, soul, mambo, rockabilly, garage, R&B, country, surf, Cajun, boogaloo, blues, funk, psychedelic, sunshine pop, mod, exotica, gospel, and lost, atmospheric, and hypnotic instrumental 45 obscurities up for grabs. Lots of gospel blues and gospel soul beauties this week, along with runs of the Blue Note and Band Box labels. And, as always, tons of great 45s from greater Texas and Louisiana.

ARTIST: The Puerto Ricans
TITLE: You Gotta Come a Little Closer (Pedro) - Instrumental / The Puerto Ricans
LABEL: Landa
CONDITION: VG+ (Great gloss, superb player.)

Fantastic early '70s funky soul from Philadelphia, instant dancefloor magic. This is the same instrumental used in the Soul Brothers Six "You Gotta Come a Little Closer" but with those crisp drums bumped up a bit.

GRADING: NM-/VG++/VG+/VG/VG-/G/F. I basically never grade anything NM-.
