Description
An original mono pressing of the Dave Bailey Sextet's Bash! on the very rare Jazz Line label (JAZ-33-01). Players include Kenny Dorham, Curtis Fuller and the wonderful tenor sax, Frank Haynes, who died much too young. The LP has the deep groove labels on both sides and the vinyl retains its original glossy sheen. There are no surface marks and the record plays (via a Nagaoka mono cartridge on a Garrard 301 turntable) with virtually zero surface noise (probably no more than was pressed into the original vinyl) and no pops or clicks. The sleeve is in near-mint condition with some shelving damage to the bottom edge and slight bumps on the two bottom corners ; all seams are intact. All-in-all, an exceptional copy of this scarcest of records.
Payment by Paypal or a cheque drawn on a British bank. No other methods allowed. Payment by cheque will entail a delay in delivery.
In response to a couple of queries the bottom front left-hand corner has a small amount of creasing due to the bump and there is a slight amount of scraping on the front bottom edge. There is also a little damage on the title spine but there are no seam splits, no writing, pen marks or staining anywhere. The photos are of the item for sale.
