Hey there audiophile jazz and Dave Brubeck fans. From my personal collection, an absolute MINT copy of the very rare and out-of-print Classic Records 45 RPM Series reissue of the Dave Brubeck Quartet's Take Five. This album was remastered from the original master tapes by the greatest there is, Bernie Grundman, whose signature appears on all 4 lead out groove areas. Each vinyl biscuit is 180 grams with songs on one side only - the second side of each album is intentionally blank. This album must be heard to be believed - it blows away the Columbia/Sony SACD. Dead-quiet vinyl, gorgeous reproduction of S. Neil Fujita's original cover painting, this is as good as Time Out gets. The timbre of the piano and Joe's hats and ride cymbal sound so much richer and natural than any version I've heard prior. If you're a fan of this album and if you've got a turntable and audio rig that'll do it justice, treat yourself! I played only the opening track on my Linn Axis/Akito/Adikt setup, for comparison to the SACD.
All 4 discs are dead-mint condition as are the cover and the 4 audiophile inner sleeves and 3 additional white hard covers. It'll ship in a Music Direct or Acoustic Sounds shipping box - they know how to ship vinyl and I always reuse their packaging material.
