Description

Very cool original marbled vinyl copy of the first LP from DM from 1970 on the new Blue Thumb Label. The label on the disc is the only orange one known to exist in the catalogue of the label, as it matched the unique color scheme of the vinyl and was made custom for this first pressing. These are VERY rare in respect to the non original, non-gatefold or marbled versions. the trifold gatefold jacket unfolds to show a nice poster with a front and back and even has a little hole for the tack to go in, in the hat that Dave wears on the cover. To make it even better, the disc in this first pressing was pressed from 100% virgin vinyl, as the recycled vinyl of the day was BLACK and couldn't be used for the semi-opaque see-thru pressings. The jacket is in VG with some seam and spine wear, the cover spine does show some scuff wear. The Disc is in VG+, with superb fidelity, obviously better than anything I've heard from 1970. A great LP for collectors, looks very trippy spinning on the turntable, and not to mention SOUNDS EXCELLENT, a first rate pressing with fidelity miles ahead of most Lp's of this time.
