DESCRIPTION: David Bowie LP- Aladdin Sane. Very early Uk pressing with glossy orange RCA labels, very thick card gatefold sleeve and lyric inner. Complete with the seperate white inner that has held the vinyl dated 08/73 . Matrix ending 3T/3T. LABEL AND CATALOGUE NUMBER: RCA- RS1001 YEAR OF RELEASE: 1973 COUNTRY OF RELEASE: UK CONDITION (VINYL/COVER): VG+/EX. Vinyl is nice and clean with a dark sheen. Couple of short faint light hairlines when tilted at a certain angle on very close inspection. I probably could visually grade this as EX but will err on the side of caution in case one of those nice bidders in possession of a 1,000,000 candle power halogen spotlight decides to bid. Played passages of this today on my Project Deck. Sits flat on the turntable. It certainly sounds Excellent, clear ,clean and loud. This is a great LP, one of my top fifty favourites of all time. Thick card cover is very firm and square and has less than light edgewear, light cornerwear and absolutely minimal creasing. Nice shape to fully ledgible spine- its very difficult to get this on a copy as the writing is a very light blue and usually just dissapears with the lightest bit of rubbing/wear. The cover is in great shape, its nearly impossible to get a clean copy of this but here you have one. Its only a touch off the colour it would have been leaving the shop. Inside of gatefold is immaculate. Lyric inner is also EX. Poly has come away from the seperate white inner bag which im presuming came with the LP to save the lyric inner. Clean labels. No writing, rips or stickers. Very nice clean playing and sounding very early UK pressing of this classic Bowie LP. Grading system: I use UK’s “Record Collector” Grading System but please note that GRADINGS ARE VISUAL ONLY UNLESS STATED. You are likely to get some background noise , even if its just between the tracks on 30-40 year old vinyl records!! :: MINT: The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface mark or deterioration in the sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. EXCELLENT: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in the sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing. VERY GOOD: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover, or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable. GOOD: The record has been played so much that the sound has noticably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding,scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration etc. I will at times use a + or - to indicate when a record falls between the grades. I REMOVE ALL VINYL FROM SLEEVES PRIOR TO POSTING. RECORDS ARE SENT IN BEST QUALITY MAILERS WITH 2 STIFFENERS.
