Description

One of the most collectible pressings of David Bowie’s final masterpiece.

This sought-after RTI 180g pressing was manufactured by Record Technology Incorporated exclusively for Amazon to satisfy the overwhelming demand following the album’s release. Production lasted only from early February through March 2016 before the standard MPO pressing returned, making this a short-run edition prized by collectors.

Pressed on heavyweight 180-gram vinyl, this edition features the premium die cut star gatefold jacket, the distinctive clear plastic inner wallet, and the beautiful 16-page oversized booklet.

Featuring the haunting title track Blackstar, the unforgettable Lazarus, Dollar Days, and the stunning farewell I Can’t Give Everything Away, this is one of the defining albums of Bowie’s legendary career.

Mastered at Sterling Sound by Ray Janos (RJ). Identified by the sought-after STERLING mastering and RTI-specific runouts:

• 25697.1(3) 88875-17387-1A RJ STERLING

• 25697.2(3) 88875-17387-1B RJ STERLING

Barcode:

8 88751 73871 3

An increasingly desirable RTI pressing that stands apart from the more common MPO edition and belongs in any serious David Bowie vinyl collection.
