Description

David Bowie - Blackstar (Vinyl 12" LP) *NEW*

? Blackstar is David Bowie's 28th and final studio album and it's release coincided with Bowie's birthday.

Co-Producer Tony Visconti has since stated that the album was Bowie's intended swan song and a parting gift to his fans. According to the sleeve designer Jonathan Barnbrook, the sombre artwork for ? Blackstar was intended to represent “a man who was facing his own mortality”.

The album incorporates free jazz elements and hip-hop beats but is ultimately a genre onto itself. It is Bowie's only release to hit No.1 on the US Billboard Top 200 chart, which is perhaps as surprising as it is apt.

Place the ? Blackstar gatefold (not the actual vinyl) in direct sunlight for a surprise on the inner sleeve...

Barnsley Loves Music will not be beaten on price; if you see a better UK-based like-for-like price elsewhere, we'll match it!

Feel free to get in touch with any questions!
