This is the very rare Philips 1st 'David Bowie - David Bowie', not originally titled as 'Space Oddity' as it later became known. It is the excellent gatefold sleeve spoiled only by some biro covering but still pretty terrific in-hand with the 'modifications'.

 

Pre-sale viewing is welcome. Pictures are unedited. The LP looks and feels great in-hand with the pictures not really portraying this gem in real-light. Age related wear and tear is evident. There is no sellotape, tears or price labels evident. There has/is biro evident on the front and rear cover. FRONT COVER: The cover exhibits great colours although there is two paper pieces applied to cover up some biro removal. There is a slight scuff to the left of David's curly head and some minor edge creases. The glue flap is undisturbed. REAR COVER: There is a evidence of biro removal. SPLINE: Text is fully legible although there is age related wear and tear. GATEFOLD: There is a little evidence of age related wear and tear although the blue has not faded. INNER SLEEVES: The original label inner sleeve is not included. A protective sleeve is also included. VINYL: I stress I no longer own a turntable and cannot guarantee playback. I can guarantee you an honest visual appraisal and a full refund if not entirely satisfied, please don't shoot me if it does not meet your expectations. I am being totally honest with what I have to-hand!!! The vinyl looks very clean with a nice gloss sheen with the labels retaining that RCA black contrast. At 12” face level there is very light scratching evident on "God Knows I'm Good", side 2 label blistering. At 6” under light and manipulating viewing angles there are approximately there are some scratches evident and spindle witness.
