The USA 1st edition of this rare Bowie album. Rarer than the UK release? I am not sure but the only current copy for sale on Discogs is listed at £867.72; acknowledging that the condition is better.
I will be listing a significant Bowie album collection with pretty much everything covered in the 70’s catalogue, dress cover - Station proofs etc. etc. Please contact me if you have an item of interest from this period, I can list around requests. I will be willing to end the auction if a sensible offer is received.
Pre-sale viewing is welcome. Pictures are unedited. The LP looks and feels good in-hand with nice thick gauge board. Age related wear and tear is evident. There is sellotape, minor tears and adhesive labels evident. There is no biro on the front or rear cover. FRONT COVER: The semi-gloss finish exhibits good colours. Edge damage consists of four minor 'flat' tears. The glue flap is undisturbed on the top edge although sellotape has been applied to the side and bottom, it actually looks quite professional except that it has been applied over the top of adhesive label. Thankfully, there is no import clipping! REAR COVER: There is very slight feinting and age related storage marks. SPLINE: There is spline damage with text effected. INNER SLEEVE: The inner sleeve is the rarely seen in relatively good condition albeit with the bottom edge tear where the vinyl lands. A protective sleeve is also included. VINYL: I stress I no longer own a turntable and cannot guarantee playback (from memory the vinyl played well). I can guarantee you an honest visual appraisal and a full refund if not entirely satisfied, please don't shoot me if it does not meet your expectations. I am being totally honest with what I have to-hand!!! The vinyl looks relatively clean with a matt sheen, although it probably could do with a 'water-clean' (I do not tamper with items before listing). At 12” face level there is light scuffing evident. At 6” under light and manipulating viewing angles there are approximately half-a-dozen light scratches evident.
Please check out my excellent feedback and if you have any queries then please do not hesitate to ask. I offer a 100% no quibble refund if you are not entirely satisfied.
‘Proof of Postage’ is obtained for all posted items and depending on sale value I will improve postage specification at my cost.
