I am not usually a fan of Live vinyl but Bowie always sounds great and this is no exception. Great golden era set from the mid 70's, Side 2 is particularly good - Changes, Suffragette City, Aladdin Sane, All The Young Dudes and Cracked Actor - fantastic.
This is a super clean great sounding German pressing, damn do they know how to make a good sounding record. If you like The Beatles get the "Die Beatles" german pressing with the -2 matrix its mind blowing and only costs a fraction of the UK original.
I have bought these from a private collector who cherishes his records and when I play them back it's such a nice feeling to hear that clean crisp perfect sound. So much so a couple of them have found there way to my shelf.
All of my records are play tested on a Project Debut Carbon with 2M Red stylus which is quite revealing so any sound defects may be more exaggerated than on other more mainstream players. Or conversely if you are a full on audiophile I will let you judge how your set up compares and how you envisage the sound will compare.
I don't currently have access to a cleaning machine so please forgive any dust or finger marks which are on any of my records - hopefully will be investing in one at some point.
Record Appearance - NM All 4 sides are flawless, no marks or scratches and lovely as new glossy finish. Unbelievable after 40 years, I've bought new records in worse condition. Nice and bright orange labels with no marks just the usual light spindle wear under a bright light.
Record Sound - NM As expected with the appearance these sound perfect no surface noise even between tracks, nice to know there are people who love their records. Great rich sound particularly being a live recording it's unusual to get this level of sound quality, really feel like you are there. If you look at my other listings you will see I am very honest about defects on my records so believe me when I say these are superb.
Record Sleeve - VG+ This is a very strong VG+ as shelf wear is only minimal but highlighted by the black colour. Mainly just limited to scuffs on the corners. Usually black sleeves have terrible ring wear but there is absolutely nothing not even under bright light. Spine is almost perfect solid and clear. Some light ring wear to the inner gatefold images but no damage and not great quality artwork to start with to be honest. Sleeves are plain white inners, one is split but I don't have any spares sorry.
