David Bowie - Diamond Dogs RCA Black Labels APL1 0576 UK Early Pressing Gatefold Sleeve - Possibly 1974 but with Printer Credit Clout & Baker Matrix Side 1 - APL1-0576-A-4E W A2A Matrix Side 2 - APL1-0576-B-7E AIAM W
I can't seem to find a listing with this matrix so can't be sure of the pressing. The closest is a 1974 possibly second pressing with black labels and similar matrix but no printer credit.
That aside this is a lovely clean copy of one of the classic Bowie albums and quite rare with the black labels.
I have bought these from a private collector who cherishes his records and when I play them back it's such a nice feeling to hear that clean crisp perfect sound. So much so a couple of them have found there way to my shelf.
All of my records are play tested on a Project Debut Carbon with 2M Red stylus which is quite revealing so any sound defects may be more exaggerated than on other more mainstream players. Or conversely if you are a full on audiophile I will let you judge how your set up compares and how you envisage the sound will compare.
I don't currently have access to a cleaning machine so please forgive any dust or finger marks which are on any of my records - hopefully will be investing in one at some point.
Record Appearance - NM Flawless clean condition with no marks or scratches even under a bright light. Perfect glossy finish on both sides as new condition. Labels are in good condition just some light spindle marks under a bright light.
Record Audio - NM Play as good as it looks no surface noise that I could detect even between tracks. Nice deep sound as expected from an older analog pressing, very nice indeed.
Record Sleeve - VG+/NM Very close to near mint just some light scuffing to the bottom corner but fantastic for 40 years of age. Spine is nice and solid with clear titles. No sign of ring wear even under bright light. Inner sleeve is just a plain white paper and is in good condition.
