DAVID BOWIE - 'HUNKY DORY'
This superb & early example of Bowie's fourth album is a UK 1st pressing dating from initial release in December 1971 and is on the shiny orange & black RCA labels: SLP 4623
Matrix numbers: APRS 5947 3T & APRS 5948 3T
'Bobil' & 'Rasputin' is inscribed into each respective run-out
Vinyl weight: 125g
Housed in a rare front laminated 'Robert Stace' printed cover.
Complete with both its original 'Robert Stace' printed inner-sleeve & double-sided lyric sheet.

An immaculate clean, glossy and unworn set with no marks or wear to either centre hole.
Visual: EXCELLENT +
Pristine deep-gloss playing surfaces which apart from a two faint surface marks (not scratches) on side 1, are unmarked in strong daylight. Careful and close inspection directly beneath my powerful halogen desk lamp reveals just a small number of harmless wispy hairlines but no other visual marks or wear.
Sound Quality: EXCELLENT +
The copy has received just a small amount of careful play on good equipment and plays without any groove/playwear on any track or in either channel. My careful play-check at volume revealed just a hint of normal vinyl background between tracks and a few light 'ticks' during 'Eight Line Poem' but there are no further audible distractions or wear on this great sounding copy.
Cover: EXCELLENT +
A 1st-class example of this rare cover variant which displays a pristine, clean & unscratched high-gloss front laminate which bears just two faint 'thumbnail' wrinkles towards the opening edge but no further significant traces of wear. There is a single tiny bend in the lower right corner but all corners themselves are sharp, unbumped and unworn. There is a hint of light wear to the front opening edge but none whatsoever to the rear or and feathering or tears. The rear panel is immaculate and completely unblemished. both seams are smooth, unstressed & unsplit and the spine is square, fully laminated and worded.
Lyric sheet: EXCELLENT
Clean & flat with just a single crease int the lower right corner.
Inner-sleeve: MINT
Again, clean & flat with just slight creasing in one corner but no writing, tears or seam splits.
