Description
This is the limited edition Ryko Analogue pressing of David Bowie's LP "The Man Who Sold the World." Like all Ryko Analogue pressings, this double LP is pressed on clear vinyl, digitally remastered, and presented in a deluxe gatefold package with restored covers, lyrics, an OBI, and bonus tracks. Disc 1 presents the nine songs of the original 1970 LP. Disc 2 presents bonus tracks:
1. Lightning Frightening (previously unreleased track from 1970)
2. Holy Holy (single A-side from 1970)
3. Moonage Day Dream
4. Hang Onto Yourself (3 + 4 were released as a single under the alias Arnold Corns in 1971)
The Ryko Analogue pressings were marketed to audiophiles as "Compact Disc Quality Phonograph Records" in the late 80s and early 90s when CDs took over the marketplace. They were expensive and only available in specialty boutiques when new, and rarely appear on the secondhand market.
The gatefold sleeve and OBI are both in excellent condition, with minimal wear. The OBI is intact, and has been removed to preserve its condition. The vinyl for both LPs is also in excellent condition. As clear vinyl is difficult to inspect for scratches or imperfections, I listened through the entire LP and can confirm there is no surface noise, scratches, or pops.
All records are shipped in new cardboard mailers, with cardboard inserts. Records will be removed from the jacket before shipping to prevent ring wear and other damage. I have more than 10 years experience working in record shops, and am a record collector myself, so I know what a bummer it is to have records damaged in shipping, and will do everything in my power to prevent damage.
