Description
Has light warp but plays OK. Picture sleeve looks great, has very light creasing, and 3/4" split in center of bottom seam. Plays on one side only.
The back sleeve reads:
"On September 28th, 1977 Marc Bolan did a taping session for BBC-TV - "The Marc Bolan Show". One of his guests and long time friend, David Bowie, was invited to sing his new single. and Marc joined him on lead guitar and backing vocals. On the way home from the studio his car went out of control and struck a tree, Marc was killed. This recording of "Heroes" is the last song recorded by Marc."
Record issued in 1982.
from discogs description:
Apparently Bolan does not actually play on this track although his voice is heard at the end of the record announcing the end of the show. The picture on the cover is from another track they jammed on that session. And the show was reportedly taped 9 days before Bolan's death on September 16, 1977.
Band is credit on the labels as "Davy & the Dinosaur" probably to avoid detection by the pressing plant, and no band is credited on the sleeve either. "Not for sale" printed on labels. Appears to be a USA pressing based on the large jukebox-style hole and the curved top of the picture sleeve.
