Selected titles from the private collection of a music business veteran are now being made available for the first time. Titles offered by this Seller are one-owner and came directly from the pressing plant, record company warehouse, other label reps or record store unless otherwise noted. 

Grading is based on visual inspection.

Album ships in a 2 MIL poly cover sleeve and a 3 MIL poly inner sleeve..

I package records outside the cover to avoid seam splits.

• This Promotional Copy is a First Pressing of the RCA reissue of the album titled "Man Of Words, Man Of Music" (Mercury SR 61246) originally released in the US in 1969.
• This copy has never been played.
• The single piece board cover has tight seams, shows no wear on the front and slight wear on the back.
• The Promo stamp is inkles and is embossed back lower left. It is very faint so I don't think you can see it in the photos.
• The 21"x 28" glossy poster insert had never been unfolded until I took the attached photos. I only unfolded it slightly to avoid tears or any kind of damage.
• The pink inner sleeve has lyrics on both sides. I have included a soft poly inner sleeve.
• Seller got this new from the RCA rep in his store in 1972. It has been in storage for 44 years.

David Bowie is the second studio album by English musician David Bowie, released under that title by Philips in the UK, and as Man of Words/Man of Music by Mercury in the US, in November 1969. It was rereleased in 1972 by RCA as Space Oddity (the title of the opening track, which had reached No. 5 in the UK Singles Chart).

Reissue by RCA, non laminated card sleeve with a new design; Printed in England by Robert Stace. 
"Previously released on Philips Records SBL 7912" in front bottom right corner - text is on one line only, other issues have it split onto two lines. 
Orange labels are semi-glossy, headers read: Side1Stereo and Side2Stereo and have four lines of text in white at the bottom in a semi-circle. 
Matrix variations start at BPRS 4501 1E / BPRS 4502-1E, subsequent issues may have MainMan replacing Titanic Music in the credits and a MainMan logo on back cover. 
Inner sleeve with lyrics printed in blue and pink, LSP-4813, Printed in England, also crediting Titanic Music. 
Some copies, issued with a 21"x24" poster of the cover shot, also had a black & white peelable sticker stating: David Bowie Poster Enclosed.
