Description

This vinyl box set collected hits, album tracks, 7” rarities, and a few previously unreleased gems from the vaults. Unlike the cd reissue that adds and substitutes newer material, this collection only covers the period from 1969 until 1980. It’s an astonishing body of work, beautifully presented.

I bought it new in 1989 and the records have never been played.

The set comprises:

6 clear vinyl LPs housed in 3 gatefold sleeves with photos and substantial notes.

A box with a duotone image of Bowie in its base and a similar image on its clear perspex lid.

A grey cardboard ‘obi’ that fits over part of the right side of the box.

You can view all parts, individually and together, in the 12 photos I’ve taken. These include shots of the box with and without the lid. I particularly recommend Amazon’s zoom function to examine the package in detail.

Condition

I have only described this item as 'used' as it is not shrink wrapped and one part of the package is imperfect.

Records: Mint. They have never been removed from the paper sleeves.

Covers: Mint. They have only been removed from the box once, in order to take the photographs.

Box: Mint.

Plastic lid: Almost perfect; just some barely noticeable, very light scuffs that are invisible unless light is reflecting from it at a certain angle. It's an inevitable result of filing this set alongside other records. 

Obi: This is the only part of the set that shows any wear. There are some scuffs and one corner is scrunched. Please examine the views in the photos. I’ve taken a close up of the damage.

Postage & packing: Substantial care will be taken in packing this item so that it will go through the postal system unscathed. I will send by Royal Mail Special Delivery, which is tracked at every stage of the journey and carried separately from regular/recorded post. Full insurance is included.
