Description

You are bidding on a first pressing of David Bowie The Rise And Fall Of Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders From Mars.

This is a first pressing - matrix numbers are BGBS 0864 6e on the a side and BGBS 0865 4E on the b side.

Importantly there is no “Mainman” credit in the top right corner, denoting a first pressing (before Bowie was signed up the the Mainman organisation for management).

The cover is VG - the inner sleeve is complete, but is split (See photo) and the outside sleeve although on decent condition and clean, has a sticker in the top right corner (I have not tried to remove) and the spine is worn but not split. There’s a crease in the bottom right corner.

the record itself I have graded as VG. There are some audible crackles, especially at the start of each side. Side 2 more noticeable than side 1, which after the first song is pretty decent. Lovely thick vinyl. There are hairline scratches but not deep. On side 2 there is a mark that affects play during Suffragette City -it pops seven times, so please see photos and bid in the knowledge this flaw / flaws exists. The record doesn’t skip or jump (played using a Rega 3, Dynavector 10x5).

cleaned with an Okki Nokki record cleaning machine.

Condition is Used. Dispatched with Royal Mail 1st Class.
