DESCRIPTION: David Bowie LP- The Rise & Fall Of Ziggy Stardust & The Spiders From Mars. Original 1st  UK pressing with machine stamped 1E/1E matrix and darker glossy orange RCA labels. No Mainman on sleeve, inner or labels. The inner is clean and white with a wavy top edge (not straight). It has a crisp texture rather than the dull cream , matt ones that came later.  It has the titanic/chrysalis credits. This is a complete, original, UK 1st press not one cobbled together from different LPs from different years. Any questions , please ask.  LABEL AND CATALOGUE NUMBER: RCA SF 8287 YEAR OF RELEASE: 1972 COUNTRY OF RELEASE: UK CONDITION (VINYL/COVER): VG/VG+. Under bright artificial light the vinyl is really clean with a nice sheen and only a  few light hairlines preventing higher visual grade. Played in its entirety tonight on my budget deck. Sits flat on the turntable. Sounds generally not too far off EX. Music is loud and vibrant though there is a trace of background sound in " 5 years" (as usual),  "It Aint Easy" plays really well, clean and clear throughout, "Rock N Roll Suicide" is again pretty  clear and loud. . Cover retains great shape.  When i first saw this i thought it must be a repress because of the shape and condition of the cover but its actually a complete original 1st UK press. Cover is firm and square and has only a little more than light edgewear (light only to spine) , light cornerwear and light creasing. Check out the photos - it has a previous owners name printed neatly on the street light to the front and the phone box to the rear.  Fully ledgible spine retains great shape. Inner is probably the cleanest I have had for this LP. Its still really clean and white and square. It has only one fine 1" split to the bottom edge. .No feathering at all. Vinyl has been kept in a seperate inner recently. It is really clean and white  Super clean glossy orange labels. No other writing, rips, stickers or sticker tears. I DO PLAY EVERY RECORD I LIST NOW even though its often just quite briefly. Please bear in mind you may get a touch of background sound, even if its just on intros and between the tracks on 30-40 year old vinyl records!! :: MINT: The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface mark or deterioration in the sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. EXCELLENT: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in the sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing. VERY GOOD: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover, or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable. GOOD: The record has been played so much that the sound has noticably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding,scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration etc. I will at times use a + or - to indicate when a record falls between the grades. I REMOVE ALL VINYL FROM SLEEVES PRIOR TO POSTING. RECORDS ARE SENT IN BEST QUALITY MAILERS WITH 2 STIFFENERS. I ALWAYS COMBINE POSTAGE BUT COST DEPENDS ENTIRELY ON WEIGHT OF PACKAGE.
