Description
Continuing to downsize my record collection, this David Bowie & Young Americans, on RCA Mainman Orange label, cat. no. RS 1006, from 1975, making it another UK 1st pressing.
Deadwax runout grooves read as follows. Side 1. RS-1006-A-6E A2G DAVE'S RCA Side 2. RS-1006-B-6E A1C
Please note I always play my records through so I can grade them properly.
The labels on both sides are free of any writing & marks, other than a few spindle marks. The vinyl itself is still shiny, & free of any major marks or scratches. There are a few paper marks from taking it out to play it, but there is nothing deep or that affects playback. Sound quality is still great, there is some background noise on the intro groove & also occasionally in the quiet periods between tracks, but this fades away when the music begins. It plays perfectly all the way through with no skips or jumps, but there is a pop towards the end of side 2 track 1 & lasts for 2 revolutions.
The outer cover is pretty good really, spine is intact & readable. There is some minor creasing around the edges, but is free of any writing, stains, rips or tears or sticker marks. There is a partial ringwear mark at the top on both sides, so I grade the cover as VG.
I have always kept my records clean, but before I sell them I always clean them with my VPI RCM & put the record in a new anti-static inner sleeve, & the cover in a new cover also.
I always insure my items for their full value & do not make any money on postage.
