Here is your opportunity to own The Man Who Sold the World album from David Bowie. This is the third studio album from David Bowie. Many fans and critics believe this album is the first album to really capture Bowie's music style. His first two albums had more of a folk and psychedelic vibe. This album is David Bowie's full on rock album. If you have never heard this album, you owe to yourself to hear it on vinyl. This album was widely counterfeited after Bowie's success with the Ziggy Startdust album. The counterfeit copies are much more prevalent than the true original pressings. This LP is a true original pressing with stamped matrices from 1970. This particular LP has SR- 61325 - A - M2 as the matrix number stamped in the dead wax, on side one. Side two of the LP has SR - 61325 - B - M1 stamped on the dead wax. Both sides of the dead wax also have the initials PR etched on them. PR would be the initials of the person responsible for mastering the LP. The vinyl is in Very Good Plus Condition. The LP has a couple of very light hairline scratches and paper scuffs on each side. Side one has a few more scratches then side two and the track After All has one visible scratch. I also noticed a few pops in the beginning of track two All The Mad Men. These blemishes have a very minor impact on playback. I noticed some slight feedback between tracks. The LP labels are very clean with only the slightest sign of spindle markings on each side. The LP cover is in Near Mint/Excellent condition. It has some extremely faint ring wear on both sides. The corners all have some extremely minor rounding. The left side top corner has a tiny crease. The right top corner has some faint sticker residue, but it is not tacky to the touch. The front of the cover has some light soiling along the bottom seam. The bottom left side corner has the delete/punch out hole. The hole is quite small in size. All of the seams are outstanding and very tight. The spine is brilliant and 100% legible. The pictures I have taken should show this. This album has been professionally cleaned on a VPI 16.5 and will be shipped in a brand new white inner sleeve. The album jacket will come in a new 3 mil poly sleeve. The album will be professional shipped in an LP mailer with two 12 inch cardboard inserts.
