Deadline 12" EP MINT Rites of Spring Dischord Fugazi

DESCRIPTION: Mint condition copy of a (one-sided!) 12" EP by Deadline, entitled "8/2/82" (a reference, I believe, to when it was recorded at Inner Ear Studios, right before the band broke up).  Peterbilt Records, Washington, DC, 1988 (?).  I'm pretty sure only 1,000 copies were pressed, and it has definitely long been out-of-print. 
I only have a couple copies left of this record, and am not sure whether I'll be selling any more.  So if you're looking for a mint condition copy, this may be your last chance... 
Deadline was a band in the early DC punk scene, formed in the Summer of 1981.     Band members included Ray Hare, Christian Caron, Terry Scanlon, and Brendan Canty (who went on to play in several important DC bands: Rites of Spring, One Last Wish, Happy Go Licky, Fugazi).  Deadline had some songs on the "Flex Your Head" record (which I also have up for auction).   Songs are:  I.C.A., Nothing for Me, Apathy, Closed Door, Outside the Law, Anti-Christ, Deep Sixed, M.A.D., No End, Authority Figures, Decayed.
One thing that is very funny is that the wavy shape around each photo was completely unintentional!  When I did the artwork for Guy Picciotto (Peterbilt Records), I laid out the artwork in what was then (this was pre-computer) the traditional method.  I placed photostats of each photo on the base art, to indicate position and size of each photo - each photo would be shot and half-toned separately and then assembled into the final filmwork from which the printer would burn his metal printing plates.  Various acetate layers taped to the base art contained windows for each photo and the type (text).  I put wrote "F.P.O" ("For Position Only") in big letters atop the photostats of each photo, and cut wavy edges on each photostat to SPECIFICALLY indicate that they were just for size and position only.  The printer very carefully ignored my instructions and cut wavy windows for each photo on the front and back, so instead of 3 identically sized photos with nice straight edges, we got what you see here.  Needless to say, the band and I were shocked and disappointed to see the final product, but money and time constraints precluded getting them re-done.  Who knows, maybe after reading that in-depth explanation, the story behind the wavy shaped photos isn't that funny.  Suffice it to say that in the pre-computer world of graphic design, all kinds of stuff could go wrong, even when you thought your instructions were abundantly clear.
CONDITION / PROVENANCE:  Record is in absolutely pristine condition.  It has been kept in a plastic sleeve away from light and dust for the last 24 years.  Record has never been played.  This record is unconditionally guaranteed to be original, from 1988.  It comes from my (Jeff Nelson - Minor Threat/Dischord Records) punk archives, which are being downsized after continuing to be described variously as "too big" and "insane" or containing "more than my potential kids or grandkids will ever want."  Please see my auction for lots of other punk/hardcore flyers and records as well as other jetsam I'll be putting up for sale......
