Description
This listing is for the old, vinyl LP - The Deadly Ones - It's Monster Surfing Time. 1964 US LP VJLP 1090. Great LP, that comes in a brilliant picture sleeve. I have tried to include as much information as possible for this album, with as many photos as allowed. So, here goes with the info., I believe that it was pressed by – Monarch Record Mfg. Co.. with the run-off having the "pyramid ^ 6760" bit + has the "MR" in circle stamped in runouts, so Matrix / Runout (Side A): (MR) 64-4095 M Matrix / Runout (Side B): (MR) 64-4096 M. Plus the following is very lightly etched on the "a / b " side run-off APO 9-18-7, very difficult to read, even under a magnifying glass, but I think that's what it is. The labels have Roman numerals used in "Side I" and "Side II" on labels (vs. "Side 1" and "Side 2" on other releases). Plus "Long Playing" and "Microgroove" are present on both labels. Also it has the deep groove pressing ring. Hope that helps. This brilliant album plays great throughout. Please study my photos for track listings and label details. Condition - The picture sleeve is bright and solid. There is a bit of damage from where a previous owner seems to have removed a sticky label ??, plus the top edge has some rubs/slight flake to left edge, (please see my close-up pictures) + some light storage rubs, otherwise the cover is really nice, rates very good (if it wasn't for the label removal bit, very good +). The spine is really nice and readable. The labels = excellent. The vinyl has some light marks/scratches/hairlines, nothing too dramatic and nothing that affects play, visually = very good + condition. I have played / listened to the whole of this record, it plays great, a very enjoyable listen, with no jumps, skips or sticks. Also comes with its original Vee Jay Records inner sleeve, which has record breakthrough etc., only rates fair, but, the LP will be put into another better condition old sleeve, along with the original Vee Jay one.. I have used the Record Collector magazine grading guide when assessing this record. Please note, I had a bit of trouble with the lighting when doing the photos for the records I currently have listed. With the sun going in and out etc., so if you see any flashes or reflections of camera/lights/hands etc., on my pictures, it's just on my pictures, not the covers or vinyl.
I am currently helping a friend sell some of his records etc., so please check out my other listings.
